Here’s what’s new at America’s Central Port.
📌 More Roadway Improvements Coming Soon
Kicking off earlier this March and estimated to be completed by early July, this construction project, funded by an Illinois Department of Transportation grant, will rehabilitate the roadway along C and 7th streets. You can view project updates and detour information here.
📌 Warehouse Office Renovation Completed
4,488 square feet of new office space and ADA-compliant restrooms were added to Warehouse 5A, a 43,200-square-foot warehouse unit located at the Port. This unit, along with two others, totaling 129,600 square feet of contiguous space, is available for lease. For more details, contact us here.
📌 New Broker Commission Agreement In Place for Commercial and Industrial Leases
We're pleased to announce that the Port's Board of Directors adopted a new broker commission policy on November 10th, guaranteeing a minimum 4% commission for the initial term of a lease and 2% renewal commissions for all subsequent renewals. You can view our availability here.

📌 YMCA Daycare Parking Lot & Roadway Improvements Coming Soon
This construction project will repave the parking lot at the YMCA Daycare (1730 W. Seventh Street) and a portion of West 7th Street adjacent to the Daycare. You can find the detour notices and other project updates here.
📌 Resilient Infrastructure Strategy Complete
We are pleased to announce the completion of the Port's Resilient Infrastructure Strategy, a comprehensive plan to strengthen our facilities, reduce emissions, and prepare for severe weather events. The Strategy includes our first-ever greenhouse gas emissions Inventory, an energy assessment, an infrastructure risk evaluation, and a stormwater management study. Together, these efforts have produced a prioritized roadmap of capital investments to keep the Port competitive, resilient, and ready for the future. You can download the report here.
