Christie Voelker, AICP

Christie Voelker is the Planner at America’s Central Port. Her primary responsibilities include managing planning activities at the Port, including master planning, strategic planning, capital improvement planning, public engagement, and small area plans. Ms. Voelker also leads the Port’s pursuit of funding from federal, state, and local sources, researching grants and other financing sources and pairing these funds with priority projects. With funding secured, she oversees the management of grant funds through close coordination with the Port’s Finance and Engineering Departments.

 

Ms. Voelker joined the Port while earning her Master’s in Urban Planning and Development from St. Louis University. Her education in Urban Planning complements experience gained through working in real estate development, local government, and private sector consulting. She was first introduced to the Urban Planning field while pursuing her Bachelor’s in Anthropology and brings a holistic mindset to all of her endeavors.

Ms. Voelker is a member of the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Metro Section of the American Planning Association and serves as the Section’s Professional Development Committee Chair.
