Robbie has been with America’s Central Port since September of 2002 as part of the Port’s administrative support staff, and currently holds the title of Office Manager. Her responsibilities include Administrative Secretary to the Port’s Board of Commissioners, Leasing and Contracts Management, FOIA and OMA Officer, and a Notary Public.
Robbie came to the Port with a strong background in administrative assistance, sales and accounting. She began working at her Dad’s camera stores, Dicor Photo, in shipping and receiving, sales and accounting. After acquiring her degree from Miss Hickey Business School, she was employed as the executive secretary to the Chairman (part-time) and the Senior VP of Missouri State Bank. Her love of cameras brought her back to sales and bookkeeping at Camera & Video Centers and later to Sales Manager, Inventory Manager, and Bookkeeper at Broad Brothers, selling Sony TVs, DVDs, sound systems, video cameras and accessories.
Robbie also serves as the Grantee Administrator of Foreign Trade Zone 31. She began learning about FTZs in 2012 by becoming an active, voting Member of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones (NAFTZ) and attending educational seminars and conferences. She serves on the NAFTZ Grantee Committee and was a Member of the Sub-Committee designated to re-write the organization’s Grantee Handbook, and acquired her AZS (Accredited Zone Specialist) designation in 2018. In early 2018, she applied to the Foreign Trade Zones Board to reorganize the Port’s Zone Project under ASF (Alternative Site Framework) which expands the FTZ designation to now include 12 Counties in Southwest Illinois. The ASF application was approved in July, 2018 and Robbie is actively marketing and re-branding FTZ 31.
